The Premodern National Championship Costa Rica 2026 marks a new chapter for a community that has built this format locally with consistency, respect for the game, and a very clear identity.

This event is more than a tournament. It's a gathering point for players who value deep gameplay, meaningful decisions, and a Magic: The Gathering era that continues to prove why Premodern remains one of the most loved formats.

After the growth we've experienced in recent years, the 2026 National aims to strengthen that spirit: full tables, tuned lists, classic archetypes and new ideas—competitive, but above all, community-driven.

The tournament will run 6 Swiss rounds, followed by a cut to Top 8 to determine the National Champion. Gold-bordered cards (CE / IE / World Championship) and official reprints are allowed. No proxies.

Lunch is included for all players and will be provided by Corteza Foccaceria. This break is designed as a moment to rest, recharge, and enjoy the event as a community before the tournament continues.

Your complete Premodern deck, sleeves in good condition, dice, counters, and required tokens. Decklist submitted on Melee (April 1–12).

▶ How many rounds will be played?

6 Swiss rounds of 50 minutes each, followed by a Top 8.

▶ What cards are allowed?

The event follows official Premodern rules. Gold-bordered cards (CE / IE / World Championship) and official reprints are allowed. No proxies.

▶ Is lunch included?

Yes. Lunch is included for all players, provided by Corteza Foccaceria.

Yes. Judges will be available to handle rules questions and in-game situations.
